Since 2006 VFI has proudly hosted the Angkor Wat Bike Race and Rally at the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Cambodia. This year we will host a 30km ride, an 80km ride and a Cyclo Race through the magnificent ancient temples, forests and rice fields of Angkor Wat.
The event attracts participants of all parts of the globe who come to bike, have fun and raise funds for VFI projects in Cambodia. For more details of the work that we do, please check out our website, www.villagefocus.org.
We limited the bike events to 50 riders the first year, then to nearly 120 riders our second year and had 175 riders from over 30 countries in 2008. There were over 300 participants from all over world participanted in 2009. This year, we are planning on hosting over 500 bikers as well as over 3,500 participants for the Half-Marathon and running events!
