Subiksha

Goal: To support women's self-help groups working to develop an organized voice in the areas of culture, environment, agriculture, animal husbandry, and micro-enterprise.

Context: Women throughout Tamil Nadu in South India have traditionally lacked influence in their communities’ decision-making processes. Over the past ten years, VFI's partner Subiksha has been organizing vulnerable rural women, empowering them to take a leading role instrengthening and defending their communities.

Target Group: Rural women in Perambalur district, Tamil Nadu

• Issue-based committees spread thorough understanding
