Throught this project we willbuild capacity of 2 local non profit associations and 2 International NGO to use arts as a tool for children and women empowerment, strengthening 6 educators’ capacity. We will also stimulate other educators’ creativity by peer learning and organizing two events for experiences learned dissemination and acquired transfer of capacities. The whole will be supported by the edition of training materials adapted to the Lao environment. For the residents of the shelter (15 to 20) the value of the project is therapeutic – offering them participants a form of expression for the real challenges in their life – it helps them create new ways of thinking. The participants will look at themselves in a different ways and also begin to see the variety of life’s options. In this sense the project will help residents of the shelter residents of the shelter build skills necessary to communicate about problems in their own lives.
